Born 1950.As the son of a Navy Chief, I lived in England,Turkey and all over the USA. I started playing music at 15 years old in Tuscon ,AZ.
I have played Harmonica on works by and with.. Andrew Lloyd Weber,Spike Lee,Marvin Hamlisch . Recorded background on many PBS specials and quite a few jingles over the last 20 years.I have toured with Broadway Musicals as well as having worked on Broadway in shows.
If you are looking for an extremely seasoned and very versatile player give me a call.I am easy to get along with and I have very good ears.
All during the 70's I worked for Hohner Harmonicas as a repairman and also a clinician.
From the 80's and up I have been working with Huang Harmonicas Inc.
George Mancini and I would play at the Namm shows representing Hohner..In the early 80's Hohner relocated to Richmond, Virginia...which turned out to be a great place to play Jazz in the Shockoe Slip area.
1985 brought me back to NY and eventually into subbing on Broadway for my friend Rob Paparozzi.
This helped immensly with aquiring jingle work and other referrals.
To the point:
I am very fluid in many styles of music...Jazz,Blues,(Acoustic and Electric),folk and country.
I read music which ,along with proficiency on my instrument, allows me to work on Broadway and other projects that have scored music as well as just improvised.I have a strong track record.I have been fortunate to play on quite a few CD's and albums of extremely talented singers and songwriters such as James O'malley and Martha Trachtenberg and her husband Tom Griffith. These CD's are really well crafted and contain great songs ...
I want to mention a few names of musicians who, through the years, have been kind enough to refer me for various musical projects.
Rob Paparozzi( Who opened the door for me and still offers me as a referral when he is out of town)
Scott Kuney, Kevin Kuhn,Ted Sperling,Michael Keller, Jeff Ganz,John Miller, Jill Diamond,Ellen Weiss, Phil Granger,Hui Cox, and Michael Starobin and all those unknown musicians who have referred me..and also an ardent fan...Marie Raubicheck
Thank you all!!!
